Tasting Notes

Style: Amber Maerzen

Appearance: A creamy beige foam head slides cleanly down the glass. The beer is a nice orange caramel color that is crystal clear.

Aroma: A very malty aroma is with slightly spicy esters is noticeable above the surface of the beer.

Taste: This beer has a smooth mouth feel and a strong malt flavor. A slight bitter aftertaste is present after each sip.

Summary: This was our favorite beer of the three we tested due to its strong smooth malt flavor. It would go great with a nice hearty meal.

Tasting Notes

Style: Lager

Appearance: The creamy foam head clings to the glass as it evaporates leaving behind a lacy pattern. The beer is a clear amber color.

Aroma: Slightly malty with fruity overtones.

Taste: There is a light malt flavor that is followed by a more fruity taste. Some bitterness in the aftertaste.

Summary: This beer would go good with pizza or for a refreshment on a warm fall day.

Tasting Notes

Style: Bavarian style celebration ale

Appearance: An ivory colored creamy foam head sits on top of the dark amber beer. Lots of carbonation bubbles are also present.

Aroma: Spicy overtones (perhaps allspice) with hints of bitterness.

Taste: A smooth mouth feel introduces the light caramel flavor with a hint of spices. Slightly bitter finish.

Summary: This is a descent beer, but is not full of flavor. It would go good with pizza or a burger or when just hanging out with friends at a bar.
