| Cape Canaveral is about a 2 hour drive from Orlando. If you plan your trip right you could possibly see the space shuttle launch into orbit. This is something I've always wanted to see, but have never been able to schedule my Florida trips during the week of a launch. Maybe someday... |

The things you can not miss at the Kennedy Space Center are the bus tour around the facilities and the museum. There is also an Imax movie theatre there showing several space related films. I would suggest seeing an Imax film in the morning, take the bus tour during the early afternoon and seeing the museum before you leave. While in the Cape Canaveral area I would also suggest a visit to Ron Jon's Surf Shop in Coco Beach. They have some of the best t-shirts and beach wear money can buy! |
