9/25/04 - Mt. Eisenhower and Mt. Franklin - 9 miles - Tim, Danielle, Fizz
Between Mt. Eisenhower and Mt. Franklin the trail was rather easy. However if the clouds rolled in we'd have to follow the cairns to get out of there.
Heading over to Mt. Franklin we had a nice view looking back towards Mt. Eisenhower.
But the mountains ahead kept disappearing in the clouds.
On top of Mt. Franklin the wind really began to pick up. We didn't stay very long.
It's such a desolate beauty on the Presidential ridge.
On the way back to the Edmands Path the clouds began to lift giving us another great view of Mt. Eisenhower. The hike back to the car was uneventful. All of us really enjoyed exploring this part of the Presidential range.
